Relationships

Eddie Brock - Husband

Eddie is essentially Jack’s life. From the first time they met when Eddie ordered cheese pizza and they sat on the couch talking to the last time he saw him before he left, Jack has never been able to get him out of his mind. They both have sad background, both never had anyone to love them in such a way and both need each other probably more than they would ever admit. The fact that Eddie has saved his life twice, one from his father and the second time form Carnage shows Jack just how far Eddie would go to keep him around. Yes, they had their rough patches, that Jack still blames himself for but they always made up. Jack would do anything to make Eddie happy for the simple fact that he loves him and would never be able to stop. It hurts him a little to hear Eddie talk about what he is, to see the shame at his veins but Jack loves the black lines, thinks they make Eddie unique and more special, just like Jack’s scars. He never wants to leave, he loves him to much for that and the first addition to their family being their puppy Oscar. Although Eddie has currently left, making Jack feel rather lost but he will stay strong for Eddie and make him see that he was missed when he comes back.

Kimi - Best Friend

Kimi has been Jack’s friend for as long as he can remember, ever since she bought him that first can of soda that feels so long ago. and now feels like a brotherly figure, very protective over her. Kimi was there for him on those nights that he had no one, when he was lost or upset she would be there for him and give him a shoulder to cry on or even just to listen to his ramblings. He is fascinated by her magic and will do everything he can to support her in her life, especially when her family gets her down. His door is always open to her, just a he knows hers is always open for him. She never judged him when she found out about his past and he can never thank her enough for that. She has a special place in his heart and any insults thrown at her are taken personally and will not stand for. She was there during one of the toughest times in his life and hopes that he can repay her by always being there for her.

Nijah - Best Friend

Nijah has been Jack’s friend for so long he can’t remember exactly how he met her, only that she was incredibly nice and promised not to drink from him. Jack doesn’t know what he would do without her, she has saved his life once from his father yet asks nothing in return. She looked after him when he was healing up and even though he didn’t quite like it, she offered him her blood to save his life. She is always there for him, anytime he looks for her she is there for him, nursed him back to health when Hal left him and is one of the nicest people he has ever met. She never judged him not treated him with disgust and he respects her for it. He understands her need to feed and if he had to he would offer her his blood in return. She broke down his walls and is one of the very few people he trusts and will always be there should she need anything, just as she is for him.

Tony Stark - Good Friend/Fellow Prankster

The first time Jack ever met Tony properly he had just blasted himself into a wall with a section of his suit and in hindsight it seemed to be a warning towards what Tony was like, especially after his most recent trip to the hospital. Jack considers Tony a good friend and someone he could turn to if he ever needed help with something important. Although he is intimidated by Tony’s cockiness he knows he has a softer side from his relationship with Loki. They always have a laugh together and Jack is more than happy to provide any cheeseburgers he needs. He admires the fact Tony managed to give up alcohol and is a bit of a fan of Iron Man although will never admit it, not wanting to fuel his ego. He is very glad Tony never judged him on his past and will be there if Tony ever needs someone, just like Tony is there for him. Sharing a love for pranking, Jack joined in on painting Loki’s side of the room pink and is willing to do so again, because what’s life without a bit of fun.

Loki - Good Friend/Fellow Prankster

Loki. Admittedly Jack is very intimidated by Loki, not because of who he is but more of what he can do. From reading stories in school about the Gods to then become friends with one was rather a surprise for him but he would not do anything to jinx it. Being the God of lies and mischief Jack knows to not take anything Loki says to seriously unless it is a serious conversation. To say they bonded over grapes is probably true. Jack being bedridden in hospital and to get sent hundreds of grapes from Loki which in turn gave Loki a pregnancy craving for the little green fruit was what brought their friendship together. Jack knows that although Loki is titles in such a way, he knows if he had a serious problem then he could talk to him about it, having spilled his guts about his father to him and not being judged, Loki calling him brave was possibly the most unexpected think in his life yet he is extremely honoured that Loki did not judge him nor turn away in disgust, in fact he did the opposite. Instead of showering him in sympathy like everyone else did, Loki in face treated him with respect over the whole situation, something Jack had been waiting on and is extremely grateful for it. Of course it’s not all serious, Jack joining his pranking circle to stop himself being pranked may have been good for a while until he ‘fell’ and painted Loki’s half of his and Tony’s bedroom pink, and as much fun as it was to prank the God of mischief Jack is still going to be hiding, expecting something a lot worse from Loki in return. But then that’s half the fun.

Hope - Best Friend

Jack will always think of cars whenever he thinks of Hope, mainly because she is one, in a way. To those who don’t know her it’s complicated but to Jack she is just Hope, one of his best friends who just happens to be a Transformer. She is always there for Jack to talk to and they have a laugh together. Jack is protective over her and wishes there was more he could do to help her but he does his best. He will always be there to provide advice and a place to stay if she needs to get away from family and questions. She can cheer him up quickly enough and is one of the rare people he trusts and will always do what he can to help her.

MerlinBest Friend

Selfless. Noble, brave, caring are all words that Jack immediately thinks of when it comes to Merlin. He is definitely one of the closest friends Jack has ever had. He knows he can trust him with absolutely anything and Merlin is always willing to help him if he needs it. But Jack is not one to take advantage. He has let Merlin heal him a few times, even calm down the fear that grips him at the thought of his father and in that sense Jack owes Merlin his sanity. He admires how Merlin will never give up, never stop believing in the good and even when Jack was in his darkest of places, Merlin was there telling him that it would be alright, that he should be strong and he was going to be okay and even when Jack would try to push him away, Merlin was always there. Jack would go as far to say he sees’s Merlin as family and it is through him that he can walk again. He is very honoured that Merlin entrusted him with a secret and still has a certain scale on a chain around his neck to remind him of what he was told that day. In turn, Jack will never stop being there for his friend and will do anything to repay the kindness Merlin has shown him, he will never stop asking if he is okay and trying to get him to rest because after everything he does for everyone he most definitely deserves it

Mark and Cole - Good Friends

Without a doubt Jack would say he preferred Cole over Mark. Although he has never seen Mark when he’s a girl, he still hopes that maybe she would be a little less abrupt then when he is male. Jack is still wary of him after some comments he made when they first met, first impressions and all that although he did relax a little around him they were on a motor bike that funnily enough turned into an animal. Both of them are Gods and he will always remember the first time he met Cole because he had Jack’s face, a talent they had for collecting people. Jack will probably always prefer because Cole took the time to get to know him, to listen to him and even had a way of relating to his past that Jack had never experienced before. He immediately liked him, feeling more at ease when he could talk more easily about what happened and he even offered him a place to stay which he accepted until he moved in with Eddie. Jack owes them a lot, not just because Cole insisted on giving him a roll of bills that never ever seems to go down no matter how much he gives away, but because they were both one of the first people to treat him like he was a man and not a piece of garbage in the street. Jack knows he can talk to them about anything and that they will help him if he needs them, just like he will do his best to return the favour in any way he can.
